Educational Requirements:

BSc or BA degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Management, Marketing, or related fields

Experience:

Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in an insurance company, preferably in underwriting or related roles

Additional Skills:

• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to assess risk and make informed underwriting decisions
• Knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate insurance applications and determine coverage terms and conditions
• Assess risk and recommend appropriate premium rates
• Ensure compliance with company underwriting guidelines and legal regulations
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate documentation of underwriting activities
• Collaborate with sales, claims, and finance teams to support business operations
• Provide guidance and support to junior staff in underwriting processes
