Job Description
Global Insurance Company (S.C) invites qualified and energetic candidates to apply for the position of Senior Underwriting Officer. The company operates in the general insurance sector and seeks experienced professionals to strengthen its underwriting team.
Educational Requirements:
BSc or BA degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Management, Marketing, or related fields
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in an insurance company, preferably in underwriting or related roles
Additional Skills:
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assess risk and make informed underwriting decisions
- Knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate insurance applications and determine coverage terms and conditions
- Assess risk and recommend appropriate premium rates
- Ensure compliance with company underwriting guidelines and legal regulations
- Prepare reports and maintain accurate documentation of underwriting activities
- Collaborate with sales, claims, and finance teams to support business operations
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff in underwriting processes
