Job Description

The Branch Office Accountant will maintain project financial controls, support budget implementation, and ensure accurate and timely reporting to the head office. The role also includes fixed asset management, office administration, and compliance with financial policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain financial policies and control systems for the project.
  • Participate in the preparation of the annual project budget.
  • Ensure payment requests comply with agreements and budget approvals.
  • Verify required documentation and authorization for payments.
  • Monitor project budget implementation and report to head office.
  • Maintain fixed assets records.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support office management and administrative tasks.

Job Requirements

  • Education: First Degree in Accounting.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years relevant accounting experience.
  • Skills: Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel); knowledge of local language is an advantage.
  • Behavioral Competencies: Integrity, attention to detail, and adherence to safeguarding policies.
