Job Description
The Senior Procurement Officer manages procurement activities including supplier sourcing, contract negotiation, and purchase management to ensure cost-effective and timely supply of materials and services.
Major Responsibilities
- Develop procurement policies and procedures
- Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers
- Negotiate supplier contracts and purchase agreements
- Manage purchase orders and procurement documentation
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve supply issues
- Maintain procurement records and reports
- Ensure procurement compliance with company policies
- Collaborate with departments to forecast procurement needs
- Supervise procurement staff and monitor procurement activities
- Ensure procurement transparency and cost control
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
- Experience in contract negotiation and supplier management
- Knowledge of ERP procurement systems is an advantage
Required Skills
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Knowledge of procurement regulations and procedures
- Strong analytical and decision-making ability
- Advanced Excel and ERP knowledge
