Job Description

Daye Bensa Business Plc is seeking a qualified Accountant (Payable) to manage daily financial operations, with a focus on accounts payable, international trade finance, vendor balance accuracy, reconciliations, inventory accounting, and tax compliance.The position requires experience with Peachtree and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, as well as knowledge of Ethiopian tax requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Process daily payment and receipt vouchers.
  • Verify vendor invoices and manage payable schedules.
  • Track customer balances and ensure accurate financial posting.

Import/Export Trade Finance

  • Monitor foreign trade financial transactions.
  • Track shipping and customs documentation.
  • Calculate landed costs.
  • Coordinate payments with procurement, logistics, and operations teams.

Reconciliations & Inventory Management

  • Conduct regular bank statement reconciliations.
  • Reconcile supplier ledgers and customer accounts.
  • Support stock movement and physical inventory reconciliations.

Tax Compliance & Filings

  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual tax declarations.
  • Handle VAT, withholding tax, pension, and business income tax requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws and regulations.

Financial Reporting & Auditing

  • Prepare journal entries and financial statements.
  • Maintain organized audit trails.
  • Assist internal and external auditors during annual reviews.

ERP & Accounting Systems

  • Process transactions accurately in Peachtree and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Maintain system integrity in line with internal controls and accounting standards.

Job Requirements

🎓 Education: BA Degree in Accounting or Accounting & Finance

💼 Experience: 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in import/export, trading, or logistics companies.
