MACCFA Freight Logistics PLC, now a joint venture company with CEVA Logistics, is one of Ethiopia’s leading private logistics companies, providing freight forwarding and transportation services across air, ocean, and road freight.MACCFA is currently inviting qualified candidates to apply for the following position
Assessment Officer
Education: BA Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Management, Business Management, or related fields
Experience: 2–3 years of direct experience in an assessment role
Employment Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of shipping documents.
- Ensure compliance with customs laws and procedures.
- Prepare and submit draft customs declarations.
- Notify clients of approved duties and taxes.
- Register declarations and update duty/tax amounts when applicable.
- Compile and submit customs fulfillment documents.
- Maintain accurate digital shipment records and supporting documents.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of customs laws and procedures.
- Knowledge of HS codes and Incoterms.
- Experience with Ethiopia's customs trade portal.
- Ability to use freight forwarding operation management systems.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and numeracy.
