Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procedures for purchasing, storing, and handling pharmaceuticals in line with national standards.
• Prepare specifications and codes for medical equipment and supplies.
• Receive and organize drugs and medical supplies, ensuring proper coding, batch tracking, and location management.
• Monitor stock levels, unit costs, and expiry dates; maintain FEFO (First Expire First Out) system.
• Prepare purchase requisitions and stock reports; manage buffer stock and distribution.
• Provide technical guidance on pharmaceuticals to staff and promote rational drug use.
• Facilitate disposal of expired or damaged drugs per regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with procurement for timely orders and distribution to field sites/clinics.

Requirements

• BSc in Pharmacy or Clinical Pharmacy
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in clinical pharmaceutical services
• Knowledge of quality care, good pharmaceutical practice, and MOH/FMHACA guidelines
• Strong communication, computer literacy, and customer handling skills
• Pro-choice
