Job Description
OROMIA PIPE FACTORY PLC is seeking Senior System Administrator is responsible for leading the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the ERP system and related IT infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, security, and effective support for business operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelorβs Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Minimum 2 years system administration experience
- Over 5 years total professional experience in IT/ERP-related roles
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments
- Proficiency in database administration (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
- Solid understanding of networking, security protocols, and IT operations
- Basic software development and scripting skills (Python, JavaScript, or similar)
- Fluency in Afaan Oromoo and Amharic (written and spoken)
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, maintain, and optimize ERP systems
- Ensure system security, availability, and performance
- Manage servers, databases, and IT infrastructure
- Provide technical leadership and ERP user support
- Train staff on ERP usage and IT best practices
- Troubleshoot system, network, and application issues
